Xbox 360: Dead and reborn
My Xbox 360 has been slowly dying for a few weeks now. I was getting a single red ring and an E74 error. I called Xbox support but they said that with that error and the box being out of warranty, I would need to spend about $135 getting it fixed. Luckily...

My cat is an alien
One of my boys got into a fight last week. No surprise there, he has always been a fighter. Unforunately for him, this particular encounter did win him an abcess on the top of his head. I got a bit of a surprise when I picked him up though. The vet has...

One and a half hours sleep. A triple shot flat white. A fair trade I think.

Rain from Nowhere
I get a reasonable amount of forwarded email from family. A lot of it is spam or chain mail type stuff that I don't want. This was a good one though. My mum sent me this poem that has been doing the email rounds lately. Muzza ( Murray Hartin ) was asked...

It's a boy!
Today I am really proud to post that my wife gave birth to a beautiful and healthy boy. Micah was born at 12:42pm on Thursday 15th February 2007 with a weight of 4.04kg and a height of 51.8cm. Now I just need some sleep before the really hard stuff starts...

Tagged for five things
I dodged, I weaved, I ran and I swerved, but I just couldn't avoid being tagged by Geoff . Actually, the fact I wasn't tagged earlier makes me remember those times at school on the oval when I got picked last (or near last) for the teams. BTW, that isn...

Last hurrah for the red dobok
Given my impending fatherhood, there have to be changes and sacrifices. I have been instructing beginners and intermediates at Taekwondo for about a year and a half. Tonight was the last night for me as an instructor so I have to give up the cool "go...
I am so jealous
I love the snow , but I'm stuck here in Australia with our drought. I am appreciating the photos that people in Seattle are posting this morning though.

Buzzed by the static
Apart from the dash design , there is something else I find interesting about my new car. I occasionally get small static electricity shocks from the drivers door window when I get out of the car. I am assuming that this is because of the tinting on the...

Daddy got a new toy
My lease was just about up on my car. I have had an Impreza RS for the last three years and it has been an amazing car. After looking at the finances and getting a good deal, I upgraded (couldn't resist!). Other than the obvious difference being the addition...

Does this mean I am getting old?
Today would be the last day of my 20's. I still feel about 23. Maybe the denial will fade one day and I will realise that I have actually left that decade behind. On second thoughts, perhaps not. I think I am just turning 24, maybe even 22.
